This in-person experience is intended for parents, relatives, and other adults who care for youth, including school professionals, coaches, youth pastors, nurses, physicians, and scout leaders. Hidden in Plain Sight provides an opportunity to explore a mock bedroom to explain various trends of teen substance use showing hidden and not-so-hidden signs of risky behavior and mental illness. After the room tour, parents will be educated on the items found in the room and pertinent problems in the local community. They will be given resources to facilitate talking with their children about these issues and contacts for help if needed.
